Transformation, not technology theatre.

Digital transformation services.
Sequenced change you can absorb.

Most transformation programmes stall between the strategy deck and the first working change. Surfytech links ambition to a sequenced plan, delivers value in steps, and stays accountable for adoption rather than handover.

  • Outcomes before tooling
  • Delivered in steps
  • Adoption is the goal
Why programmes stall

A roadmap is not
a transformation.

Ambition, budget and a slide of future-state boxes are easy. What fails is the unglamorous middle: legacy data nobody trusts, teams with no capacity to change, and vendors who leave once the platform is installed.

We tie each step to a measurable outcome, keep delivery running beside the people who will use it, and make adoption — not go-live — the thing we are judged on.

Buy, build or adapt? Off-the-shelf platforms, modernization and custom builds each have their place. We compare them per capability on cost, control and time to value rather than defaulting to one.
  • 01
    Sequenced, not heroic

Small, ordered changes that keep operations running while capability improves.

  • 02
    Evidence over opinion

Baseline metrics agreed per outcome, so improvement is visible to leadership and teams.

  • 03
    People included early

Process owners and end users shape design, which is what makes change stick.

  • 04
    Ownership after go-live

Documented run plans, named owners and enabled teams instead of a handover ritual.

What we deliver

Four kinds of change,
run as one programme.

Transformation fails when these are bought separately. We plan them together and deliver them in a deliberate order.

Process transformation

Workflow redesign that removes rekeying, hand-offs and approval dead ends.

Redesign a process

Technology transformation

Modernization, cloud platforms and integration that make systems usable again.

Modernize systems

Data transformation

Governance, single views and reporting that teams trust enough to act on.

Fix the data

Product & service transformation

New digital services and business models built on the capability you now have.

Shape a service

Organisation & skills

Operating model, ways of working and enablement so changes survive delivery.

Discuss enablement
Where should we start?

Usually one process, not ten.

Share the pressure you feel and the systems behind it. We’ll identify the first change worth making.

Transformation capabilities

Every layer. One accountable team.

Strategy, delivery and enablement planned together, so capability remains in-house after we leave.

Strategy & roadmap

Outcome definition, baselines, prioritisation and an investment sequence you can defend.

Process redesign

Value-stream mapping, exception handling and automation decisions with process owners.

Application modernization

Replatform, refactor or rebuild decisions made per system, not as a blanket policy.

Cloud & platform

Hosting, environments, delivery pipelines and cost control agreed up front.

Data & analytics

Governance, reconciled reporting and analytics that answer operational questions.

Customer experience

Journey work, digital channels and service design validated with real users.

Security & risk

Access, compliance and resilience requirements handled as part of delivery.

Operating model & enablement

Roles, decision rights, training and support that make new ways of working durable.

Transformation draws on every other service we offer: modernization, integration, data analytics and QA.
Our transformation approach

Assess, sequence,
then prove each step.

Assess → Prioritise → Design the target → Deliver in steps → Embed & enable → Measure & steer. Value is expected at every step, not only at the end.

  1. Assess

Map processes, systems, data and constraints; agree baselines with owners.

    Output: evidence-based baseline
  2. Prioritise

Rank opportunities by value, feasibility and risk; agree what waits.

    Output: sequenced roadmap
  3. Design the target

Define target processes, architecture, data and experience with trade-offs documented.

    Output: target blueprint
  4. Deliver in steps

Build and release increments into live use while operations continue undisturbed.

    Output: working increments
  5. Embed & enable

Train teams, update procedures and hand over run ownership to named owners.

Output: enabled teams & run plans
  6. Measure & steer

Review outcome metrics against baseline and re-plan the next tranche of work.

Output: outcome review & next plan
Platforms & tooling

Tooling that supports
the operating model.

We choose platforms your teams can run day to day, and write the hosting, cost and exit considerations down before committing to any of them.

  • AWSCloud platform & services
  • Argo CDContinuous delivery
  • HasuraData API layer
  • Amazon CognitoIdentity & access
  • FirebaseApp services & backends
  • NetlifyFront-end hosting
  • CodeSandboxRapid prototyping
  • FramerExperience prototyping
Platforms follow the plan, never the reverse. Where you already have Microsoft, Google, Salesforce or SAP estates, we work inside them instead of adding another stack.
Sectors we transform

Change is constrained
by the sector around it.

Regulation, workforce and operating rhythm decide what sequence is realistic. We plan around those realities.

Finance

Core modernization and customer journeys handled inside strict compliance limits.

Transformation scenarios

See the pressure.
Sequence the response.

The scenarios below illustrate common transformation situations—not published client case studies or guaranteed results. Ask us about relevant experience in your sector.

Illustrative · Operations

The office runs on spreadsheets

Challenge: A shared workbook holds the real operational record, and everyone works around it carefully.

Approach: A supported system of record with migration, controls and staff enablement included.

Discuss operations →
Illustrative · Systems

Nothing talks to anything

Challenge: Staff rekey the same information between systems, and reconciliation happens at month end.

Approach: Integration and data foundations that remove rekeying and make numbers agree.

Discuss integration →
Illustrative · Legacy

The vital system cannot change

Challenge: A platform critical to daily trading is unsupported, and every request takes months.

Approach: A staged modernization plan that keeps the business running while risk is reduced.

Here’s what leaders usually raise before committing to a programme.

What does digital transformation actually mean in practice?

For us it means measurable operational change — less rekeying, faster decisions, better customer journeys — delivered through process, technology, data and operating-model changes rather than a single platform purchase.

Where should we start?

Usually with one process that is causing visible pain. Assessing it reveals the data, system and skills constraints that apply across the wider estate, which makes the roadmap realistic.

How do you avoid a big-bang failure?

By sequencing. Each increment goes into live use with rollback options, operations keep running, and value is expected at every step rather than only at the end of a multi-year programme.

How is success measured?

Baselines are agreed per outcome before work starts — cycle time, error rates, cost to serve, adoption and system reliability — then reviewed on a fixed cadence with the steering group.

Will our team be able to run things afterwards?

That is the point. We document run plans, name owners, pair your engineers and support staff into the change, and hand over before we leave rather than after.

Do you replace the systems we already own?

Not by default. Where Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, SAP or ERP platforms already cover a need, we work within them and only commission custom build where it is genuinely warranted.

Plan your transformation

Let’s sequence change
your organisation can take.

Tell us the pressures you are under, the systems in the middle of them and what has already been tried. We’ll propose a sequenced plan with measurable first steps.

No complete specification needed. A clear business goal is a great place to start.

What happens next?

  1. Share pressures, systems, constraints and past attempts.
  2. Discuss priorities, capacity, investment shape and risks.
  3. Agree the first step and the scope for a proposal.
